Mike went on to give us some basic tips to support us in these final weeks before the deadline hand in:

  • Do more image analysis
  • Do more research
  • Reflect EVERYTHING

He then recapped on the 5 main subject areas of research for History and this assignment:

  • THE MYTH
  • FROZEN MOMENT
  • TIMELINE
  • THE STORY
  • THE JOURNEY

We then looked at visuals/images we have seen throughout this first semester at University. Taken from each presentation in lectures.

FIRST PAGE OF 20 PAGE SPREAD- ABOUT US | SELF PORTRAIT | SPEAK ABOUT SELF | ASPIRATIONS | BULLET POINT INTERESTS/HOBBIES

I found this lecture extremely helpful and encouraging for the last one of the semester before we focus purely on the hand in. Mike went through each topic again quickly but quite thoroughly to refresh our memories of each subject area. I thought that this information recapped everything and even made me think to go back and improve and refine on some research areas.  From this I am going to:

  • Look through posts on WordPress and go over them to refine and strengthen research/writing
  • Finish off some tasks
  • Recap all reflections
  • Start researching into fonts/design/layout to determine final look for magazine
  • Once found design/font/layout I will start to create my 20 page spread on Adobe Illustrator
  • Start inputting bio research/images/analysis into 20 pages and create a strong, professional and consistent design throughout to read smoothly and be identified as mine.
